Lauren + Ethan always dreamed of nuptials that were intimate, uniquely them, and classic, so they planned the perfect hill country vineyard wedding. Located at The Vineyard at Florence about an hour north of Austin, TX, about 35 of the pair’s closest family and friends gathered together at the Winemaker’s Villa on property nestled above the Vineyard’s rows of grapes and cattle heard fields.
It is special when you find a couple that values what is important to them, and gets creative with how they create their dream day. Lauren did her own hair and makeup, she made the bouquets, and her aunt baked the wedding cake. It was a two tiered cookie cake that was one of the yummiest things I’ve ever eaten! The venue catered and hosted the bar. The DJ company was owned by a close friend. Lauren had always dreamed of the grand exit photos, but rather than pay for photography to last all night, she prioritized doing a grand exit
At the start of their ceremony, the couple’s Flower Grannys scattered rose petals. When Ethan saw his love walk down the aisle, a horse galloped across the field in a simply beautiful moment. Lauren + Ethan celebrated their parents, grandparents, and important people around them during the reception with every small detail and decision. She specifically gifted her mom with a special dance after her father/daughter dance. They danced to Slipping Through My Fingers from Mamma Mia, and her sisters and grandma’s even stood up and joined her. There wasn’t a dry eye under the patio’s twinkle lights!
If every wedding could be like this one, it would be a beautiful wedding season. Here is to my 2023 brides, and to all the couples in love this year!
