Carmel-by-the-Sea Elopement

share /

Emma + Andrew have never been the traditional couple, so it was perfect for them to have a unique Carmel-by-the-Sea elopement. I was honored to be brought along and to help plan this magical Italy-inspired day.

Emma was a picture perfect bride in Golden Anchor Goods jewelry and with a DC Divine Creations bouquet fit for an Italian elopement. She glowed with joy as soon as she saw Andrew dressed to the nines with his suspenders and wool trousers. Nearby, their sweet baby girl was in attendance to see Mom & Dad tie the knot, and her giggles every time they looked at her were infectious.

It felt like you’re being transported to another country full of magic and romance when you’re at Chapel Mission Carmel by the Sea – Italy, Greece, Mexico, anywhere you could dream

The Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo now a National Historic Landmark. Originally founded on the shores of Monterey in 1770. The Mission was moved in 1771 by Francian Father Junipero Serra to its current location. Then, Father Serra established the Mission near the river to serve the Esselen and Ohlone communities, the Native Peoples of the region. It was known as the Misión de San Carlos Borromeo de rio Carmelo and served as the evangelistic headquarters for the Alta California Missions three times throughout the Spanish and Mexican era.

A picturesque white vintage VW Bug was parked nearby, and perfectly fit for Emma + Andrew’s vibe and vows.
