History of the Courthouse
The current Bell County Courthouse building was designed by Jasper N. Preston & Son of Austin designed in the Renaissance Revival style. Construction was completed in 1884. A restoration in the early 2000s replaced the bell tower that had been missing for many years. The building is listed on the National Register of historic places.
