Emma + Andrew have never been the traditional couple, so it was perfect for them to have a unique Sharkfin Cove couples session. I was honored to be brought along to play in the sand, run from the waves, and laugh in the golden sun with these two.
Found nestled along the Pacific Coast Highway, also known as California’s Highway 1, this Cove is easy to miss if you aren’t looking over your shoulder at the exact right time. Down a steep hill and around a corner, and you come face to face with a near-private spot straight out of a dream. There is an open air cove tunnel with wind and waves rushing through, as well as a gradual sand beach, waterfall system, and tide pools all around.

Sometimes it’s a little bit of both, depending on the weather. This is where you’ll discover a different side to the usual Santa Cruz beaches that are beautiful but often brimming with families, locals, and tourists from over the hill.”
